The Ministry of Education:

The Ministry of Education will determine all types of education expenses for students in private educational institutions. For this, ‘Policy on Income and Expenditure of MPO registered educational institutions 2020’ has been formulated. This policy may be implemented from next year. Department of Secondary and Higher Education on Saturday (Mausi) Director-General Professor. Syed Md. Golam Farooq informed the media about this.

Mausi said that there were allegations against various educational institutions for charging extra fees from students and looting the money collected in various ways. Most educational institutions do not have transparency in spending money. As a result, it has been decided to formulate this policy. The draft policy is now in the final stages. This policy may be effective from next year. Strict steps will be taken to implement it.

Fix The Fees Of The Educational  Institutions:

The sectors in which the education expenditure will be determined in the policy are- Monthly Salary and Admission Fee in Schools – The monthly salary for class I to IX in educational institutions of Dhaka metropolis and its adjoining areas will be fixed at Tk. 25-45, Tk. 20-40 in district headquarters and municipal areas, Tk.  The admission application fee will be fixed at Tk. 85-200 in phases. Admission and full admission fee will be fixed from 300 to one thousand Tk.

Other fees including mid-year and annual examinations- The fee for mid-year and annual examinations at the primary level can be taken at Tk.300-500 and for the secondary level at Tk.600-600. Apart from this, the religious program fee is 50 taka, magazine fee is 100 Taka, printing fee is 150 Taka., culture program, debate, and celebration of different days is 50 to 75 Taka, computer charge is 25 to 50 Taka, agriculture, and garden fee (if any) is 30 Taka, common room fee is 20 taka. From 35, National Education Week fee 5, BNCC fee 5, Red Crescent fee 20, for mosques and places of worship will be set at 25 to 50 Taka.

Registration Fee – Registration fee for 8th and 9th class, examination fee, practical paper fee, academic transcript fee, original certificate fee will be fixed by the Board of Education. The board will also determine scout fees, sports, welfare, science, and technology fees. Development fees can be collected as per admission policy.

Expenditure of class XI and XII: At the college level, the monthly salary of class XI and XII students will be fixed at Tk 80-150, online application, registration fee, development fee will be fixed as per the admission policy. The internal fee of 50 to 40 Taka will be charged for each subject.

However, in each case, practical examination fee, academic transcript, certificate, test center, rover scout, sports, Red Crescent, science and technology fee, BNCC fee has to be paid as per the admission policy.

Ancillary Expenses in the College – Admission fee for class XI and XII students will be fixed from one thousand to five thousand taka. Apart from this, the welfare fee is Tk. 20, identity card fee is Tk. 30, library fee is Tk. 25, laboratory/science fee is Tk. 100, ICT fee is Tk. 20, the magazine sector is Tk. 100 will be fixed.
